Why EgoPimp?

I started EgoPimp.com to allow me to show my photos to family, friends and the wider online community. The name took a while to come up with. I figured I enjoy showing my photos to others, and love the feedback. If you think about it, EgoPimp is a very appropriate name for a web site dedicated to showing off your work.

Who runs the site?

Gary, the chap in charge.

My name is Gary, and I am a photographer in my late 20's.  I have been taking photos for approximately a year at the time of writing this (December 2008). I started with a Nikon D200 DSLR and a few low cost lenses, however I very quickly upgraded to a Nikon D3 and some fast glass.

Based in Edinburgh, I have a lot of lovely scenery to take advantage of. Whilst my landscape photography is far from perfect, I do hope one day to master it. Scotland is a wonderful subject to practise. I also enjoy dabbling in Portraiture and People shots, especcially candid street.

I really do hope you enjoy viewing my images. Sharing is a huge part of photography for me, I enjoy the feedback and I learn from the feedback. Without it, this would be a very lonely hobby. If you do have the time to drop me a quick line, or critique any of my photos, I would really appreciate you doing so.
